Birdfeather's Full Review: Pacific International Spectrum Multi Use Paper, 20...
Spectrum Multi-use Paper, 20 Lb. White is a good choice when it comes to buying paper for your computer printer, copier or just for general use around your home and/or office.
Spectrum Multi-use Paper is made by Georgia Pacific Consumer Products in Port Hudson, Louisiana. Not only is it made in the USA, but in my home state! Spectrum Multi-use Paper is designed for use in both high and low speed copiers, laser printers, fax machines and offset presses. You can also use this paper in small ink-jet printers that produce slower printing. The paper is engineered for "high performance" on whichever equipment you use it on. Spectrum Multi-use Paper is a 20 pound weight paper. It is rated at 92 for brightness and 145 for whiteness. It is sold by the ream or case at most mass merchandising stores and office supply stores.
Georgia Pacific advertises Spectrum Multi-use Paper as "Paper that Performs!" And I agree with that statement!
Price
The Spectrum Multi-use Paper costs us $2.42 per ream on State Contract. I pay around $3.50-$3.99 a ream for it at Walmart for home use. I think the price is very reasonable, especially when you compare it to other brands.
My Thoughts on Spectrum Muli-Use Paper
I have used Spectrum Multi-use Paper at work and at home. We purchase paper for our copier on State Contract at work and Georgia Pacific comes in with the low bid 95% of the time, probably because they are local and they offer a quality product at a reasonable price.
I have used this paper in my work environment in the copier, fax machine, my color inkjet printer and for miscellaneous uses in the office. Spectrum Multi-use Paper hardly ever jams in the copier. We have high humidity and I've seen some copiers here on campus be very sensitive to that issue. One copier in an older building I used to work in would only take "Xerox" brand paper. No other brand would work. They finally got a new copier for that building. Spectrum Multi-use Paper does not cause any problems for the copiers in my current department. It seem sto be as good as the Xerox brand and costs less.
At home I use this paper in my printer. I have good results using this paper at home also. The color is crisp white and gives a professional looking print job.
Recommendation
I highly recommend Spectrum Multi-use Paper to anyone looking for a high-quality paper at a modest price. It works in multiple types of machines and lives up to the "multi-use" name and advertisement of "Paper that Performs!"
