Great playyard for busy babies!

Pros:Large size, nice bright colors, lots of activities for baby, very durable

Cons:Side handles tend to stick when dismantling, and mat is hard to clean

The Bottom Line: This is a great choice, in my opinion. Its larger size and included toys make it very entertaining even for older babies and toddlers.

We LOVE our bugs playpen! We have had five little ones that have used this playpen, and as foster parents I'm sure we'll have more!

I bought this playpen because I loved the size, and the bright colors. It's much bigger than a standard pack and play.. it's the size of old-style playpens that I grew up with. There's actually room for TOYS in this one. The bright colors and sewn-on toys are wonderful also, very visually stimulating for younger babies, and the older ones love the mirror and the crinkly butterfly.

The mattress pad is very cushiony, more so than a lot of play yards I've seen. This works very well for naptime, although I have yet to be able to find sheets that fit.

So far, it has held up very well.. we've been using it for over two years, with ages from newborn to two, and there are no rips/broken pieces.

I have trouble getting this thing folded up by myself. If hubby isn't home, I just don't try.. it really requires two people, or one person with very long arms. After two years, the side hinges have started to stick a little bit, so it requires some thumb power to get them to collapse.
My biggest gripe with this play yard is that it is hard to clean. I think this is a common problem with most play yards, though. I figured out early on that my handheld dustbuster was the best choice for vacuuming dust/crumbs/etc out of the bottom. I'm still trying to find a good way to clean the pad, though. Pretty much all you can do is wipe down the outside, which is okay for small spills/spots. It is water resistant, but not so much that large spills (or leaks..) won't soak through the fabric into the foam padding. And good luck getting it to smell clean if that happens.

I have had to buy one new mattress pad for it, and learned quickly that food/drink stays out of the playpen, and a waterproof pad goes under the tiny babies who are more prone to spitup/diaper leaks/etc. Since then, life has been good.
