Sprint smart phone users are really limited in their selection. Sprint offers the 700w, 755p and the Centro. If you are wanting a Palm OS based phone then you are limited to the 755p or Centro.
The question you have to ask which Palm OS based smart phone do want. 755p is bulkier, slightly bigger keys, and offers a slightly longer battery life then the Centro. The Centro is thinner, less expensive, and has a membrane based keypad. Both phones are rugged and well built compared to other smart phones. Palm applications can readily be found at places such as www.treocentral.com and www.everythingtreo.com .
The only downside is the current version of the Palm OS is becoming dated compared to offerings by Samsung, Apple, and HTC
I actually prefer the 755p over the Centro. The keypad feel is better and the longer battery life is a nice to have.
I've been using this current 755p for over 6 months now. It has held up to daily heavy use. I average 1000+ text messages a month, 70+ hour of talk time, and thousands of e-mails a month. My last phone didn't make the 6 month mark. I fully expect this phone to last the full 2 years of the contract period.
