I remember being in awe of the perfectly shaped cookies that were displayed in the Mrs. Fields display case. It seemed that no matter how hard I tried, my chocolate chip cookies tasted wonderful but never were uniform in shape. Considering that my father preferred my version versus the store bought, this shouldn’t have been a challenge or a continued attempt of mine.

Fast forward several years to the discovery of Pampered Chef products and the introduction to the Pampered Chef Large Scoop…. Aha! Now I made the best tasting chocolate chip cookies with a uniform size. Honestly I was pleased and almost embarrassed to admit that I looked at the platter of round cookies in awe. *blush* Tis was my more anal days – obviously prior to kids.

Several batches later… I continue to admire the Pampered Chef Large Scoop. However the adoration isn’t due to the uniform shape. Rather it is an appreciation for the ease of mass producing the nummy cookies without touching the dough. Yes the shape is an attribute, but my priorities have changed.

If you are looking for an easy way to get the cookie dough from bowl to pan, I highly recommend the Pampered Chef Large Scoop. In addition to being useful for producing large, uniform drop cookies, this splendorous gadget also allows you to scoop out gallops of salad, drop batter onto the griddle for silver-dollar pancakes, plop the perfect size of muffin mix into the mini-muffin pan, and accomplish various other scoop needs.

In addition to being a remarkable gadget, this handy device is dishwasher safe and very durable. Further it is easy to use. I have MS & Fibromyalgia. Both tend to deal me some days that my hands are tender… thankfully the Pampered Chef Large Scoop makes cookie making easy, and scooping a breeze. I appreciate kitchen tools such as this. The rest of the family likes the Pampered Chef Large Scoop also. In particular, my youngest daughter who calls this a kewl scooper.

Pampered Chef offers two sizes, this is the larger version – yielding approximately 3 Tablespoons of stuff. Please don’t limit your thoughts to cookie dough, because this nifty gadget will scoop many substances, and release them easily. Honestly the handle is super easy to maneuver, aiding to my high recommendation for the Pampered Chef Large Scoop.

Initially we purchased this scoop and later purchased the small size. Both operate with ease, and are highly recommended from this baking family. We adore kitchen time with the girls and view it as a wonderful unschooling event. During bake time the girls are exposed to fractions, problem solving (this occurs when we half or double a recipe), communication skills, and life skills. All four of us have aprons that hang by the pantry, and we adore how excited the girlies get when they know we are going to bake together.

In addition to baking goodies, this scoop is great for shaping meatballs, meatloaf balls, and for serving salads or mashed potatoes. I have even used the Pampered Chef Large Scoop to serve sticky rice scoopings. Creativity is your only limit with this fun gadget.

Naturally the Pampered Chef Large Scoop becomes soiled and needs a good cleaning. Not a problem! Just put it in the dishwasher. Our large scoop has withstood much washing and continues to look as good as day one! We have put ours on the top and bottom racks of the dishwasher. The stainless steel material that it is made from resists rusting.

The scoop has a scraping blade that is activated by pushing the handle (either left- handed or right-handed use). This causes a release of contents.

When it comes to kitchen gear I am an excellent customer for Pampered Chef and Tupperware consultants! The extra nifty thing about attending these parties, ordering online or holding catalogue parties is the fact that my husband also appreciates the fine quality offered via Pampered Chef. I have attended numerous parties and own a multiplicity of products from Pampered Chef. My initial purchases included the apple peeler-corer-slicer, stoneware, and a chopper. I honestly feel that one of the best in home distributor parties to attend is a Pampered Chef one. If the consultant is good, you will be treated to some great food, obtain wonderful (simple) recipe ideas, and have an evening of fun.

We really like our large scoop and recommend it for purchase. Our Pampered Chef Large Scoop has been used for cookie dough, muffin mix, cupcake mix, brownie mix, meatloaf balls, salads, and more. It is a high quality product that is worth the $10.50 expense.
