Pros: Leg area & tall backside rarely leaks, good for parents
Cons: tabs cuts & sticks to skin, bulky bottom, pricey, not as good for baby
The Bottom Line: They're good for the parents - not so comfy for the baby that has to wear 'em. Price is a bit steep; I prefer Huggies instead.

| jhayann's Full Review: Pampers Baby Dry Diapers, 56 Diapers |
At the hospital, they used Pampers Newborn Swaddlers on my baby & those were great! So once my baby was big enough for size 1, I thought I'd stick with the Pampers brand & bought a Jumbo Pampers Baby-Dry diapers.
I was surprised at the cost - a little over $11!! Luckily I had a $2 coupon but it was still pricey compared to other brands.
It is a little bulky at the bottom, so if your baby is mobile or likes to be propped/sit up in a semi-reclined position (such as in an infant carrier), you may have to adjust the seatbelt or seat so its not so tight, especially once the diaper gets wet - it really balloons!
I did not like the tabs at all. Sure, they had velcro on the tip but the rest of it was sticky tape -- I'm assuming it's so that they don't rip off so easily. The only thing is, the sticky part would stick to everything - especially baby's skin... (Especially if they kick while being changed, or like to put their hands in your way while you try to seal the diaper.) Also, the tape was not flexible -- it would cut into baby's thighs or leave red marks.
This diaper was more "plastic" than cottony-soft, especially the sides. It would irritate/rub & leave red marks on the skin (sometimes skin was peeling), plus the diaper didn't seem as "breathable"... Meaning, air doesn't circulate as well so diaper rashes could develop or be slow to heal. It was hard to see if baby had a BM or peed without having to open up the diaper to check because it was already bulky to begin with, plus you can't really see thru the cover. (I nurse my baby so her BM didn't stink, so I couldn't smell if she went or not.) The diaper did not stretch around the waist/backside like it does around the leg area somewhat.
I DID like how the leg area holes were made, as it definitely did its job keeping contents inside the diaper. The backside was also tall -- which helped narrow down the chance for blowouts or leaks out the back end...
But FYI, it still DID leak from time to time out the back when I used it - no blowouts as of yet, just little leaks... But never out the leg areas, & not as much stuff leaked out, plus not as frequently as other brands I've tried. The leaks were about as little as spit-up or what you'd feel when your baby's shirt-back is wet from sweat; Not completely soaked but enough for you to notice.
