Pros: Cheaper than other Brand Diapers, Cloth-like cover, absorbent
Cons: Leak if gets too wet, plastic tape tabs instead of velcro
The Bottom Line: These diapers are "okay" but by far not the best we have used. I prefer Pampers Premium over Pampers Baby Dry.

| shantel575's Full Review: Pampers Baby-Dry With Quick Grip Diapers |
I have been a mom for 2 ½ years now, and I think I have tried every disposable diaper on the market today. Evident by other reviews, I prefer Pampers Premium Diapers and do not prefer Huggies Diapers, except for their Overnite Diapers. I have tried them all but I always end up coming back to the best which is Pampers Premium.
However, recently I strayed a bit and purchased Pampers Baby Dry Diapers, and not for the first time. I had used these a long time ago, but I remember thinking they were “okay” diapers. Nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. Well, I decided to try them again because they are a couple of dollars cheaper than the Pampers Premium diapers.
(Note: For those of you questioning why a 2 ½ year old is still in diapers, he is absolutely NOT interested in potty training at this point. I have been trying to spark his interest for a year now and he’s just not ready. If he’s not ready, I can’t make him. He’ll come around eventually. We still talk about it and read books about it, but he has to show some interest before it will happen. I don’t stress about it because I know he will not go to high school in diapers LOL) Back to the review...
Pampers Baby Dry Diapers
These diapers have the cloth-like cover that most disposable diapers have today. However, the waistline of these diapers is the plastic material and the tapes are adhesive, not velcro. The waistlines are designed with bright and colorful animals and they are very cute (lions, elephants, monkeys etc.). My son likes to look at the pictures and identify the animals and the sounds they make during diaper changing time, which is fun.
The inside of these diapers also have what is called “gentle care lotion”. This provides softness and comfort for baby, but also protects the skin from wetness and diaper rash. The cloth-like cover allows for air circulation, which controls the humidity in the diaper also helping to prevent diaper rash. The core of the diaper is “super absorbent” and it locks away wetness from baby’s skin. The part of the diaper that fits around the legs is gathered and cuffed for protection against leaks.
These diapers are available in six sizes. Each size fits a different size baby depending on weight:
Size 1 – 8 to 14 pounds
Size 2 – 12 to 18 pounds
Size 3 – 16 to 28 pounds
Size 4 – 22 to 37 pounds
Size 5 – 27 + pounds
Size 6 – 35 + pounds
My son is 31 pounds and I buy the Size 6 package. The larger diapers are only available in Jumbo packages. The smaller diapers are available in regular size packages and Jumbo size packages. All are available in Mega packages.
My Experience With Pampers Baby Dry Diapers
I am not totally overjoyed with these diapers, but they are not the worst I have ever used. To me they are a slightly above average diaper. They are better than some generic brands, but they are not as good as Pampers Premium in my opinion.
My dislikes:
- The plastic waistband and adhesive tapes (I prefer the velcro tabs)
- The waistband prevents a secure fit because the plastic isn’t conforming to baby’s shape
- When they get extremely wet, they sag terribly (and sometimes almost fall right off)
- If worn during naptime or over night, they leak (due to sagging)
- The tabs are not “stretchy” like the Premium diapers so they don’t fit as good
My likes:
- The animals are cute
- The diapers do lock away wetness protecting baby’s skin
- They are cheaper than Premium diapers
- The gentle care lotion inside the diapers
So as you can see, I am pretty much middle ground on these diapers. I don’t mind using them during the daytime when my son is up and playing, but I will not use them during naptime or nighttime. I would definitely NOT use one of these if he had diarrhea, that could be a huge mess since they sag so bad when wet.
I think these may work better for smaller children because a 2 ½ year old probably contains more urine in the bladder than a smaller baby could. That would make a difference in the amount of wetness in the diapers.

Final Thoughts On Baby Dry Diapers
Pampers is a reputable brand of diapers and other baby products, and I really like their Pampers Premium diapers. I will continue to purchase those diapers instead of the Baby Dry diapers. I would use Baby Dry diapers again if I had to or if they were given to me, but I probably won’t buy them again. And I would definitely recommend the Premium diapers over the Baby Dry to friends and readers.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read! ;-)
