| LILvoyce's Full Review: Pampers One Ups Lavender |
I had originally started purchasing another brand of diaper wipes. One day I handed my sister-in-law her box of Pampers One Ups Lavender. I reached over to check one of these wipes out and loved the way they felt, and decided to try them on my little one.
Pampers One Ups Lavender
This product comes in a green plastic tub, with a touch/flip top lid. I made this purchase for around three dollars, I don't remember the actual price. My box consisted of 80 pre-moistened wipes.
Ingredients as Found on the Box
Water, Dimethicone, Aloe Vera Gel, Sodium Acrylates/ Vinyl Isodecanoate Crosspolymer, Polysorbate 20, Phenylcarbinol, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxy-Methylglycinate, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbmate, Fragrance.
Product Claims
Pampers claims that this product is, "Gentle enough to use on hands and face." This product is also alcohol free, and is made with purified water. It is to, "Clean gently like a baby's washcloth."
Warnings or Special Instruction
Make sure you keep your lid closed, and keep at room temperature. Be sure to keep away from your child because he can get his hand caught in the opening.
Our Experiences
She is 3 months old now. She still has a delicate little bottom. She has taken medicine in the past that actually gave her a diaper rash. We were told to use gentle wipes, along with a prescribed cream. I was on a hunt for the softest, most gentle wipe I could find. I was really impressed with my sister-in-law's pack.
When I made the purchase, and got mine home, I was a bit disappointed at first. I first fought to get the box open. You know what? It was so easy to get the box open, that I made it difficult. You just touch the button, and the lid comes open.
The next thing I did, was I reached in to pull out a wipe. My wipes were not as wet as my sister-in-laws wipes. I was going to add water to the box, but instead, as suggested by my hub, was to flip the box over and let the wipes on the top get saturated. It ended up working out ok, but the first few wipes were still a bit dry.
The pattern on these wipes is adorable. It has printable animals on them such as: lion, horse, teddy bear, fish, elephant, cat, and bird. It almost looks like a baby blanket print. The wipes are white, and smell really good. They almost smell like a light lavender perfume.
The wipes passed the softness test, taken by my little girl. Although she is only 3 months old, she lets me know right away whether she likes a wipe or not. One or two wipes, and the job is done.
If a wipe contains any type of alcohol, or is not soft enough, she will cry. She normally does not cry unless she is being changed or has gas. Lately since I have gotten her formula switched over, and I changed wipes, she rarely cries at all. We are pleased.
I was looking at the warnings on the box. About the opening, I feel that they should have changed up the box design a bit. Not only could a child get their hands stuck in the opening, but it is also difficult to pull the wipes out of the box. The opening really has no give. It is a hard plastic. I really feel they should make the opening a bit bigger. I am not sure why they would make it so small, and then go through all of the effort of making this box soooooooo easy to open with its touch spout.
My baby is to small to worry about getting into the box yet. In spite of this small inconvenience, the baby loves the wipes. If she loves them, then I love them, and will continue to purchase them.
Lastly, the smell of these wipes are so good. Sometimes with other brands you will get a batch of wipes that don't smell so wonderful. When you have a dirty bottom, you want it to smell better. Sometimes, I have purchased wipes (back when I had my son, 9 years ago) that actually put the stink on you. Wipes have sure come along way since I have used them last. Thank goodness for that.
Overall
This product was a hit, their box/packaging was a miss.
