Pampers Swaddlers are the Diapers for Us!

The Bottom Line: Very absorbent and soft diaper, I wish I would have found this right from the get go with my son.

I am a first time mom so I had no clue about diapers. My opinion on the whole diaper issue is well a diaper is a diaper I'll just buy whatever is on sale... WRONG! I found out really fast that a diaper is not a diaper. At my baby shower I received a package of the Huggies Newborn so that is what I used at first, and I received a package of the regular Pampers Baby dry in size 1s, as well as Huggies Supreme. All of those diapers leaked and I was unhappy. It just so happened that my father in law brought me some diapers one day when he came to visit the baby and he brought us Pampers Swaddlers in Size 1 and in Size 2.
When my son was born he weighed 9lbs 9oz and was 22 inches long so he was pretty much out of the newborn diapers right away. When I put him in the Pampers Swaddlers I was really impressed with how soft they were on the outside and the pleasant smell of them. My mom always loved the smell of baby powder and when I told her that it is no longer recommended to use baby powder on a baby she was greatly disappointed. Who doesnt love the smell of a baby! Well these diapers have that smell we all love.
I like the elastic in them to fit as loose or as tight as you want and it has the velcro fasteners rather than the sticky ones that can be easily fastened back up.
The diapers seem to be very absorbent when it comes to the urine diapers and it doesnt leave the little crystals like Huggies did. we have had a few poop explosions that the diaper just couldnt hold and it came right out the backside of the diaper and oozed out of each leg.
The diaper is very soft and I have yet to deal with any type of rash with my son. He enjoys having his diaper changed since I switched to Pampers Swaddlers, maybe its because he is older but Id like to think it is because of the feel of the diaper.
With summer approaching and it being so hot here my son will be spending a lot of time at home in just his diaper. The Pampers Swaddlers have very cute Sesame Street designs with all the popular characters elmo, ernie, cookie monster, etc.
These diapers have proved to me that not all diapers are made equal. I wish they came in a size higher than a 2. My son is already in size 2s which only go to 18 lbs and my son is almost 15 lbs already.
