Just recently my wife and I had a son, born 2 months premature at 2 lbs, 1.3 ounces on June 10th, 2007. Through-out his stay at the NICU(From his Birthday, until July 19th), the hospital used Pampers Swaddlers Premie, which is available at Target. We've recently moved up to Pampers Swaddlers Newborn size.

Fit
The premie size fit snug and comfortably up until he was a little above 4 lbs. The "cuffs" that wrap around his legs held tight enough, that in the 2 months he was in them, he had but one blow-through and I do believe that was an exceptionally messy one that's not normal to him.

The Newborn Size Also fit snug and comfortably and have so far, prevented any blow-outs or leak-throughs. Right now he weighs about 5 lbs and is just over 17 inches long as of right now. The way things are going, the Newborn size should last us for the next month or two.

Function and Feel
The Premie size are soft and looked very comfortable. Whether he had small accidents or big accidents, the premie size would keep him comfortable. Meaning, he wouldn't cry when he wet himself or had a bowel movement. In addition, the premies are also easy to take off and put on. The tabs are easy to do up and undo, meanwhile maintaining a firm grip to hold the diaper in place.

The Newborn size are also soft and seem very comfortable. The only problem I have with the Newborn size compared to the premie, is when he has "wet farts"(sorry if that sounds a bit tacky,better term for them anyone??) the material sticks to his bum area. Other then that, I have had no problems with either swaddler size I've utilized so far. That one little problem can also be cleared up applying enough cream around the problem area.

Description
Pampers Swaddlers have a scent, which helps to slightly mask those unpleasant odors that your little one might frequently emit. The front of the diaper has a yellow strip that says pampers in the middle, with baby Sesame Street characters. A letter indicating the size of diaper is located in the right corner, between the Pampers symbol and the right most Sesame Street character.

The inside of the diaper has elastic bands running length-wise just on the inside of the diaper, which pull up the diaper to provide a secure and snug fit around his leg area. The fastening tabs are a yellow-strip, which have a white velcro-type fastener. Though this tab will stick to all of the diaper, it actually sticks better to the yellow strip containing the pampers symbol that was previously described.

Also the swaddler diapers have what they call Total Care with Absorb Away Liner(according to their http://us.pampers.com/en_US/products/page/pdt_details/selectedProduct/swaddlers/stageId/102.do. The Absorb away liner is a mesh liner that's inside the diaper. This is, also, unfortunately the part that sticks to my baby's bum, but is also what helps to keep him dry and happy, so he doesn't cry for all hours of the night.

Sizes Sizes of Pampers Swaddlers are Premie(Up to 5 lbs), Newborn(up to 10 lbs), Size 1(8 to 14 lbs), Size 2(12-18 lbs) and Size 2-3(14-22 lbs)[as listed on their website, described as a new size]. Now, not all their sizes are listed on their website as I can find no mention of their Premie size, which IS available. Unfortunately Premie sizes are a little harder to find, though you can now find them at Target stores.

Price
While I haven't really had a chance to price-compare, the premie size pamper swaddlers were about 5 dollars for a 20 pack. The newborn size were 40 for about 13 dollars. The way they protect my son from leaks, I don't mind paying any price for them.
