| spacegal471's Full Review: Panasonic SC-HTS7S Theater System |
If you've ever dream of the system that can make video game music sound bass-ey, and rock music sound amazing, this is it! I also bought it because it plays both VCR tapes and DVD's. I didn't have DVD player yet, and I didn't want my tapes to become obsolete. It will play CD's, including home-burned CD's containing MP3's. The sound is great, and so hightech that you can actually program the system so that the music will sound best in a particular part of the room (in case, like most people, you don't happen to always sit in the dead center of the room), by delaying the sound from different speakers so that all the sound will reach you at the same time. The is balance control, subwoofer volume control, and general volume control. The difficulty arises in switching between CD's and the TV, for instance. The necessary buttons are difficult to find on the crowded remote (which lights up with the touch of a button for convenience). I keep my Game Cube hooked up to line 1 A/V and I have figured out how to switch to it using one button. It's awesome to route video game music through the speaker system. The remote may not work with many TV's; it doesn't work with min, meaning that I have to do the remote-juggle. Also, I had to buy $15 in additional wiring to wire up the whole system, since it only comes with minimal wires.
