Pros: lots of features, high quality hardware/construction, headset jack
Cons: horrible call quality, no dedicated memory preset buttons
The Bottom Line: A bad choice if you need excellent call quality. A great choice if you need a broad and functional feature set.

| valeski's Full Review: Panasonic KX-TG2257 2.4 GHz 1-Line Cordless Phone |
First, a bit about my situation... I work from a 12'x12' office and am on the phone approximately four hours per day. I recently moved from a corded phone to a cordless so I could move around the office more easily; I purchased this Panasonic so I could do that.
Unfortunately, the call quality is awful regardless of antenna positioning and distance from the base (I still had trouble 1" from the base). I'm on the phone for long and short durations, and all my calls were littered with static noise. I could hear it, as could the person on the other end. It would fade in and out (75% of the time there was static) constantly. After putting up with it for a bit, I asked some of my colleagues (many who also use the phone as much as I do) whether or not they had any experience w/ 2.4 Ghz panasonics. One guy had the exact same phone and indicated it had the exact same problem. Another guy indicated his friend just returned the same phone because of the same problem. My mistake was that I didn't ask my friends for their experience first.
On the up-side, the feature set is amazing (checkout Panasonic's website for more info), and the handset as well as the base station are built very well. The buttons are strong and sturdy. Almost everything is configurable and I really like that there is a mute, as well as a hold button (on both the handset and the base station (for speaker calls)). The user manual is thourough and well written.
If I needed features, this would be a great phone, but, I need very strong call quality (I just bought the Plantronics CT10 and it has hard (physical) phoneline level quality at 900mhz; I'm very impressed).
