Okay phone, UNLESS ...

Pros: Listed features of the phone are of basic good quality. Panasonic makes good phones.
Cons: SPEAKERPHONE and HEADSET capability problems.
The Bottom Line: I do NOT recommend this phone unless you:
only use the speakerphones close to your face, are hard of hearing, enjoy pain in your ears/head, are a bad person.

This phone is great unless you need to use the HEADSET, which is the only way I use the phone. There is TERRIBLE, low volume, high-pitched noise, or feedback when using anything but the speakerphones. I could hear this noise even without the headset. I spoke to Panasonic and they don't seem to care.
And this problem is true for EVERY one of the four Panasonic models I tried with a speaker on the handheld piece. I don't know about any others. (I voted the sound 'average' because beyond the noise, I can hear the people I'm talking to just fine.)
I loved my previous Panasonic that I BROKE, but do NOT recommend getting one with a handheld speakerphone.
This seems fairly common with speakerphones, but I found that people don't hear me very well using the speakerphones unless I basically hold them to my face, which entirely contradicts the point. They work fine when you are listening to HOLD music, however.
I did not try the answering machine function of this phone, so I cannot comment on it.
I am still on the market for a phone!
