Pros: Lots of features. Well thought out design in most cases. Solid build. Keypad on base.
Cons: Call quality is poor. Outgoing answering system message is poor.
The Bottom Line: Don't waste your time. Lots of gadgets, sounds ok for incoming voice, does poor job with outgoing voice for both answering system and, more importantly, phone calls.

Lots of features is a nice thing, but I buy a phone primarily to use it for talking to people. Unfortunately, this Panasonic model falters badly when it comes to this most important task.
Don't get me wrong. I'm a big Panasonic phone fan. I have two others at home, and I bought one for my parents. They all have been great. No problems. So I figured I was safe buying Panasonic this time. I was wrong.
I got this one because none of my other phones has an answering system built in. And my stand alone one just died.
From day one the answering system hasn't been great. You can barely hear the outgoing message and what you do hear is full of static. Granted, most chip based answering systems on consumer level phones have this problem. It's just a little bit worse with this unit.
So, I was willing to just accept this. After all, the messages that are left came in nice and clear. But then, there's this little other problem. . .
The call quality is poor enough that I go grab the other (900Mhz) Panasonic handset when a call comes in. This is a clear sign that this phone is not to par. Callers report that I sound like I'm in a tunnel, with static. I'm often asked if I am on speaker phone when using this handset.
If I use the plug-in headset I get the same results.
I've tried the phone in a few locations in my house. I've tested calling to and from different numbers. And I was ready to chock it up to a bad single unit. But then I saw the reviews on this site mentioning the same problems.
Unless you buy a phone for it's gadgets, and don't mind how it sounds when doing it's primary task, stay away from this phone.
Even if it turns out that there are just a few badly made ones out there and the model is fine, this wreaks of a quality issue.
