jevw1's Full Review: Panasonic KX-TG5776S 5.8 GHz 1-Line Cordless Phone
I had an older Panasonic cordless phone that I was having problems with. It would sometimes cut out, as cell phones do, when in the middle of a conversation, only to correct itself in a few seconds. I purchased this newer, more expensive phone with an additional handset as a replacement.
I have appreciated the clear connection, the ease of navigating the menu, and the talking Caller ID. The phone menu features six different categories, a caller ID list, and a phone book. Talking Caller ID allows you to listen to who is calling and then decide if you want to get up and answer the phone. The device allows you to upload songs to identify individual callers. The phone will then ring at the normal volume, and play the music at a lower volume. You can access the answering machine from the handset. The handset is a good, comfortable size, and the display is clear and of good quality. Pictures can be uploaded to identify individual callers, but I have not yet used this feature.
I have experienced no negative aspects since purchasing this phone. It is designed more like a cell phone, complete with music, pictures, and menus. I would say that this purchase was a good one.
