Pros: Small, lightweight. Firewire (IEEE 1394)
Cons: Small, lightweight.
The Bottom Line: Great all-purpose Mini-DV that's small enough to take anywhere. Firewire interface and a great price.

I was keeping an eye out for a good, small, basic mini-DV camcorder. While I have limited use with it, it has been great so far. It's small, lightweight and easy to use. The drawback is that the small, lightweight properties of it make it difficult to produce stabilized video at times. The image stabilization works, it still requires some steadiness though. That is also one of the great benefits of it, small and lightweight. Easy to carry and pack around. The still images aren't the best, but I didn't buy it for the still image capability. The image quality appears very good, but I haven't investigated it under all conditions yet.
