My husband and I have been thinking about getting a small tv set for our office. He likes to spend Sunday watching football and checking out NFL.com to check how his fantasy football team is doing. He was about to wear a path in the floor between the living room and office where the computer is. I was desperate to keep him from pacing back and forth. So, when I spotted this set in the Office Depot ad for $139 with and additional $20 mail-in-rebate,, I knew that I had to get it.
It's very easy to set up. Just take it out of the box, plug it in and turn it on. It starts programming itself. If you're hooked up to a system that sends out a time signal the tv sets it's own time.
The set fits nicely on the top of our roll top computer desk. It's nice and compact and nice looking. The picture is nice and sharp and the color is good. It's very easy to adjust the settings. The remote has all the controls you would ever want, channel return is my favorite. It's called R-Tune (rapid tune) on this set which threw me. I was really disappointed until I read the manual and realized that it was my favorite button disguised with a name I didn't know.
I set the programmer to record a movie this weekend and it worked flawlessly. The tape was clear and a nicer quality than the vcr we have hooked up to our living room tv. The vcr has commercial skip which I haven't remembered to try out yet, but it sounds neat.
The set has a sleep timer, an FM radio, night mode, headphone jack, front audio/video input jacks, an alarm timer, v-chip control, vcr lock, and more. We highly recommend it.
