Pros: Outstanding picture sharpness/quality
excellent optical image stabilization
Good low light performance
Cons: Audio (mic&line input) only average. Zoom takes a-while to master
Auto-exposure icons difficult to decipher
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a traditionally designed camera, that is feature-laden, optical stabilization, and top notch image quality, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

I shopped the Canon 100mc, and the Sony TVR30 before deciding on this one.
I have been very satisfied with it--bought it right after it became available and have shot 10+ hours of video.
Image quality is outstanding, the traditional (barrel) camcorder design is easy to hold--but I found that my big thumb had a difficult time hitting the on/off switch without jaring the camera.
Firewire interface works very well. I haven't used any of the fades, wipes, disolves, and other digital effects because I upload the video to my PC and edit there.
Zoom has a wide range of speeds, but takes a little while to get used to. It has a wider range of speeds than the 100mc, which I thought was a little slow.
Battery life is ok, but you will definitely want to purchase a larger battery.
Optical stabilization very effective--eliminates all shaking even on longest zoom shots. "Mega" stabilization is available only on stills.
I haven't used the still capability of the camera as I already have a digital camera. It sees easy enough to use, though.
Sound qualiy good, but not outstanding--even at 16bit.
Playback joystick is very easy to use, and can be used in low light.
Purchased for $1050 at Best Buy PC's in Philly.
Overall I am very happy with the camera, and would purchase it again if I had it to do over again.
