To pay this little and get this much is a real pleasure--Panasonic really delivered with this headphone.
The 40mm driver and XBS technology manages to deliver the frequency extremes at low to middle-high volume. Quality is excellent -- defining quality by lack of tonal distortion, echoing, frequency "fallout" at mid-volume levels. The extra long cord is a big plus for many people, and if it isn't needed it is nothing a twistie can't solve. Also, the cord has a potentiometer (variable volume control).
I use these headphones daily and give them their due wear. I have had two sets and each lasted 2 years (... and counting on my latest). However, do not be surprised if the potentiometer begins to fail after a year and you find yourself adjusting it to ensure sound through both channels.
This headphone gives $50-100 headphone performance for less than half that cost, and if you don't abuse them as I do I am certain their lifetime will extend much longer than I have experienced. I have used many and have yet to find a better headphone for the price.
