Pros: Closed-in, large cups, light weight, comfortable, great sound for a great price!
Cons: Cord is actually TOO long, cups may be too large for some.
The Bottom Line: An excellent pair of closed-in headphones for an excellent price. Perhaps the best price/performance ratio of any headphones on the market today.

| macgyver24's Full Review: Panasonic RP-HT455 Consumer Headphones |
I went headphone shopping because my current pair of closed-in headphones didn't fit over my large ears, and I wanted something that I could wear for long periods without getting sore ears simply from wearing them. Nevermind the loud music.
Panasonic is a name I have grown to love and trust over the years, and I have yet to be disappointed by any Panasonic product I have used. These headphones are no exception. While sound reproduction isn't perfect, it is very very good and will satisfy everyone, save the audiophiles, who really should be spending a lot more money anyway.
The headphones feature an adjustable headband and large foam padded ear cups covered in a leather-like synthetic material. These features, combined with the fact that putting these cans on your head isn't like putting your head in a vise, make these extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have very large ears, and even these surround my ears without putting any pressure on the ear itself. However, my wife doesn't like these because the ear cups are very large and her ears feel "lost" inside. I guess she is just used to headphones that rest on the ear instead of surrounding it.
These headphones are extremely light, and if you're not careful, you'll forget you have them on after a while!
While the headphones are light enough to take on the go, their size makes portability an issue. I'm intending on using these headphones exclusively with my computer, so portability is not an issue for me.
The headphone cord is insanely long, 15 feet (5 meters)! So you'll probably want to keep most of it tied up at the plug end if you're constantly unplugging them. If you're plugging these into the back of a computer, however, the long cord is a blessing as you won't need an extension cord.
A small inline volume control on the cord about 18 inches from the headphones features a rotary volume control and a momentary spring-loaded mute button. The in-line volume control/remote is often the weakest point in headphones that use them, but this one seems to be solidly built and it doesn't seem cheap or fragile at all. From the volume control, the headphone wire separates and enters each ear cup separately. This is important to note, as some people prefer a pair of headphones that have a single wire entering on only one side of the headphones.
Even after using these headphones for a day, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. These are excellent headphones for an excellent price.
