The Bottom Line: I love this receiver. Although there are probably more costly receivers with more features, I don't think you can find a better deal than this for the price.

I did quite a bit of searching before deciding on this receiver, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Contrary to what is on the product info page here, this receiver has 4 digital optical ins and a digital coaxial in, and one digital optical out, as well as support for 6.1 surround, giving you a rear center channel. It also supports A&B speaker channels, which is great if you already have a nice pair of stereo speakers you want to utilize for music. There are also inputs and outputs for 6 additional analog sources other than TV, with both RCA and S-Video connectors for video, and RCA connectors for the audio.
The big selling point for me, however, was the component video switching ability of this receiver. I have both a DVD and an Xbox with component video outs, and this unit allows me to get the best possible picture and sound from those devices to my television. Not only that, but if I were to upgrade to HDTV in the future, I could still switch between an HD receiver and my other component video sources easily.
If you're looking for an AV receiver that will not be obsolete in a few years, this is one to check out. With online prices of about $350 or so, it's also very affordable. I didn't know at the time I ordered it, but mine came with both a free 6.1 surround capable DVD of Rush Hour 2 (whatever... it's free stuff), and a free Panasonic speaker to connect for the rear center channel. All I need now is another speaker stand.
