After spending a great deal of time and energy devoted to finding a quality replacement for my ultra-clean sounding Hitachi receiver, I finally stumbled upon the SA-HE200K. This thing instantly struck my fancy, and when I was able to purchase it locally (Circuit City) for 399.00, I snapped it up in a heart beat.
Great sound...So clear. I matched it up to a pair of Bose 301 Series IV speakers, and got out 2 cds...Dire Straits Brothers In Arms, and the sound track to the IMAX Amazing Caves movie...Money For Nothing never sounded better, and this receiver truly gives the Moody Blues proper due.
My connectivity options are unlimited, having both analog and digital available. Fiber Optic is the way to go, connectivity to my DVD player couldn't be simpler.
It's been 10 years since I purchased a receiver, and I truly believe it will be another 10 before I will need to replace this unit :-)
