Pros: No skipping, solid sound quality, came with car kit.
Cons: poor quality headphone, lack of functions.
The Bottom Line: Pansonic SL-mp50 is just an average mp3/CD player, good enough for ordinary usage. But if you looking for functions, get the RioVolt sp250 instead.

| brychen's Full Review: Panasonic SL-MP50 Personal CD Player |
This model SL-MP50 came with car kit, I bought it from J&R online just few days after it became available. It is light and the buttons on the player feel very solid. Owning it for little over two month now, so far so good. Also, this player can play both format of the CDRs, Joliet and ISO.
The head phone came with the package is really not that great, it produces very poor sounds. However, after I switched it with an old Sony headphone, the sound quality improved drastically.
The car kit is really a big plus for this unit. I have tested it in 3 different cars; an Acura TL, Honda accord and a civil, all produced reasonably good sound.
I noticed others have mentioned about skipping with this player, but I have not experienced so myself. I even shook it violently for quite a few times, but not once it has skipped on me.
Battery life for this player is about 4 hours on a pair of AA Duracell battery, little short in my opinion. That's the reason why most of time I use the rechargeble ones instead.
Hope the info I listed above is helpful to you!
