I am very impressed with the Panasonic SL-S362C. It has nicely styled lines (looks great on my dashboard!), excellent sound, and the anti-skip (40 seconds) is incredible. The other day I took a turn too sharply and it slid down the dash, fell off, bounced off the steering wheel, bounced off my knee, and landed on the floor. Not a single skip during the whole scenario!!
The remote control in great for safety. I have it Velcro-ed to the dash and I just point and click with my right hand while the left is driving (keeping my eyes on the road the entire time).
It reads CDs very well. My Savage Garden CD is so scratched that my sisters SONY skips though every song--my Panasonic, it reads every song just fine.
The backlighting is great for nighttime usage and the XBS Bass is decent.
Also it has a 22 hour playlife from 2 AAs (when the anti-skip, or XBS is on, playtime is less, but not too much so.
The remote has Forward/Back, Pause, Stop, and Repeat Song/Repeat All buttons.
THINGS I WOULD CHANGE/WISH IT HAD
I would make the buttons back-lit, sometimes its hard to see which button you are pushing. Also, the backlighting only works when you are you the wall or car adapter, not when it is running on batteries.
It does not have a recharge option for the batteries (something I miss from my old Discman).
The construction doesn't have the solid feel of my old Discman, do not purchase this product if you plan to do alot of outdoor activities with it.
