The Bottom Line: There are some negatives to this player but, if I were to choose again, I would most definitely buy it again because it is good quality for a reasonable price.

| punter252's Full Review: Panasonic SV-SD50 (64 MB) MP3 Player |
I have been looking at Panasonic's mp3 player for a while, both of it's durability and notable battery life. It was just a matter of choosing between the models. I finally bought the SV-SD50 over SV-SD85 of a saving of >$100 between the two. And, I must say, I was very impressed by the little one.
Pros
-The player has exceptionally loud volumes, which can be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences. For me, I just wish I could at times go below Volume 1...
-Small!! I can hang it comfortably around my neck (though I looks dorky) or push the HOLD button and leave it in my pocket.
-Nice design. The color and the shape are attractive.
-Skip/Fast-forward, and the options. I am glad I chose this mp3 player over mp3/cd players that don't allow for skips.
-Really good sound quality, especially the two options of bass enhancement.
-Battery life. 31 hours on a single AAA battery? That's for me!
-SD cards. I managed to fit 28 songs on a 64MB card. Not bad.
Mediocre
-Headphones. These are not the most comfortable out there but better than having to buy a new set
-RealAudio program. It is not the most stable player nor client-friendly, but you get use to it after a while (I may be biased because I've use it for 4 years).
-Design/Quality. The player as a whole feels a bit hollow and plastic-quy. Be care with the battery cover because it may very well fall off if you're rough with it
Ugly
-Transfer rate. It takes too long to transfer songs. 39MB of 28 songs took almost an hour through an USB port! I wish Panasonic changes his USB reader/writer for its next generation players so I won't have to suffer so again.
-SD cards. These cards are expensive! I am waiting a bit longer before buying more memory.
