I had recently ran out of shampoo so I went to the local CVS store to pick some up when Pantene Pro-V Intensive Restoration Treatment caught my eye. I had recently been searching for something to help my damaged hair and split ends but something that also wouldn't make my oily hair oilier.
PRICE
At the CVS store the Intensive Restoration Treatment was $4.59 for a 6.8 FL OZ flip-top tube. Pricey yes but I really wanted a cure for my hair. I heard it is much cheaper at Target.
DIRECTIONS
After shampooing, apply liberally to hair, focusing on ends and other damage-prone areas. Leave on 3-5 minutes, depending on level of dryness or damage of hair. Rinse out with warm water. For extra shine, follow with a cool water rinse. Use once a week or as often as needed. Safe with chemically or color-treated hair. For best results, use with Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner.
MY EXPERIENCE
Immediately when I got home I tried the product. I applied about a nickel sized amount of the intensive restoration treatment to my hair and my hair already felt stronger and healthier. I waited 5 minutes and when I rinsed it out the feeling didn't go away! I waited for my hair to dry to see if it really worked and when my hair dried it still felt good and the frizzies I used to have weren't as visible! Although of course it didn't completely cure my hair in just one try of course.
A week later (as directed) I used the product. Again great results but this time when my hair dried there was obvious results. My hair looked a lot healthier and I was surprised after just 2 tries! My hair looked shiner and healthier! Although I still have to wait to be completely cured! But it really does help your hair! And it didn't make my hair oily!
TEXTURE
The product is soft, creamy and smooth in texture (feels great!) and is plain white in color.
FRAGRANCE
Intensive Restoration Treatment has a great smell but it is hard to describe. The fragrance lingers in your hair but it isn't to strong either. The smell is really good but indescribable.
I saw my boyfriend who I hadn't seen in about 3 weeks. After using the product 3 times when he saw me he said my hair looks great before I even told him I did anything! He said my hair looked a lot healthier and soft! It really improved my hair!
