I fell in love with this piece of equipment the first time I saw it in my friend Nick's basement "gym". A gorgeous minimalist exercise center, the ParaBody is a powerful yet compact way to turn any corner of your house into an exercise area capable of transforming your body. I have seen the results in Nick, who has increased his muscle mass by over 20% and has improved muscle definition beyond description. This is the Mighty Mouse of home gyms...compact but killer!
Any of the everyday exercises that you might want to work on are covered in the liquid movements of the Parabody, with the exception of butterflies for pectoral development. My favorite feature is the abdominal crunch strap, which makes these painful but essential exercises easier while making it harder for me to "cheat" on my work. That's because every movement is biomechanically correct, which means in plainspeak that its been designed to help you improve the form and efficiency of your work-out, the ParaBody wants to help you exercise better. With no cable changes to be made, you will also shave valuable minutes off the time it takes you to finish a daily set.
I am a skinny little runt, so the padding on a piece of equipment is important to me. It always seems like manufacturers don't care if our butts get sore when we work out, but I for one like to take care of my posterior. Both the padding, size, and angle of the seat and 4" roller pads all contribute to make time spent on the Parabody a more comfortable experience, an important factor in the long-term survival of a piece of equipment!
Unlike a number of other mini-gyms and exercise systems, the Parabody doesn't come with a crate of additional parts to "enhance" the experience...if you need it it's already on there. I am severely challenged when it comes to even the most basic of mechanics, so it's smooth and foolproof operation was a godsend to me. Less parts to move and adjust also means less chance of damage, so this is by virtue of its simplicity a low-maintenance piece of equipment. Add to that a lifetime warranty on the frame and parts as well as a 3 year warranty on upholstery and you have a guaranteed friend for life.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about exercising in their home. Shockingly efficient and priced at $800 or less, it's a piece of equipment that can fit into anyone room of the house as well as into any budget.
