As I've only ever played a demo of AoE, I can't be 100% certain, but I don't think the games are too similar. And of course AoE doesn't have dinosaurs! :-D
If you end up playing the game, check out http://www.paraworld.darscom.net/Paraworld_General_Tips.html for osme general tips. I'm also (slowly) adding a guide for each mission, though not so much as to ruin the gameplay - at least, that's the plan!

At first I thought it sounded just like Age of Empires, but then you mentioned dinosaurs. Now *that* is cool!
Nice, strong details on the game play. That's very helpful. It's always good to have tips. Starting out more successful definitely encourages one along through tougher campaigns. Great details! Thanks! :)

I've just come to a really tough mission, but I WILL beat it!! :-D
I think you'll enjoy this, though it's difficult to say quite how similar our tastes in games are. Not too dissimilar I think, from what I've read in your reviews (though I liked KOTOR 2 a lot more than you did!!)
