Design
The design of this product is a mixed design. There could have been more time put in on the design of this particular product, but that doesn’t mean it’s terrible. As a matter of fact it is only missing maybe 2 features that you would assume a product would include.
One of the features that are missing that you figure would be included is an:
on/off switch yes, that’s correct this bottle warmer doesn’t include an on/off switch. Why, isn’t this included? I can’t say only the research and development team can answer that question. So, when you are operating this if you want it on/off you have to either plug it in or unplug it from an electrical outlet.
Timer I guess they sacrificed this feature with the price, as it is very affordable. But, no you cannot put a timer on the bottles. You can however, start your watch, or microwave timer to get around this flaw. This really isn’t a big problem for me, but may be for some.
Positives about design
There are positives about this products design though. It supports all bottles and all differently shaped bottles as well. It seems to be made with quality products. It doesn’t have a cheaply made feel to it, and is very durable. Interior heat design makes the warmer heat up very quickly, which means the quicker you can make you little child happy by feeding him/her. The design also makes it very portable and doesn’t take up much space at all. As a matter of fact this can actually fit almost any where you want it to in the kitchen. It can fit nicely on table tops, counter tops, and even in the corners! Minus those 2 design flaws this was a very well designed machine!
How to use / Quality of use
First off, don’t ever have this turned on without a decent amount of water in it. If you don’t have water or very little water you will burn the motor out really quick. As long as you follow the golden rule of water inside you will be golden and this bottle warmer will not be breaking down on you anytime soon. The water heats up very quickly so you do need to keep an eye on the bottle temperature. Yes, you should test how hot the childs milk/formula is before, the feeding starts, but shouldn’t you always do that anyway? There is no magic timer or thermometer that will automatically stop heating once a temp is reached so be a responsible parent and check how hot it is.
The quality of this product is very high. The water heats up fast and in return heats the formula / milk up fast. This will make you and your child very happy. The quality on the operation of this product couldn’t be any better. So long as you keep a watchful eye on the temperature of the bottle. I was very surprised by the quality of this product with the price you pay for it.
Overall
I love this bottle warmer even without a timer or on/off switch. Since you are not suppose to use a microwave to heat up milk / formula, because that kills many nutrients that a growing baby needs this is a great alternative. I would highly recommend this bottle warmer for any parent as long as they don’t mind plugging it in and out to turn it on and off, and don’t mind finding an alternative timing method like I have done. It works fast, great and with quality work I love this product! Should only set you back $10-15 dollars, but you will put it through extensive use!
