and a very nice job. I, too, first viewed the hotel in the '80s as a place the "swells" stayed and then stayed there in May, 2004 on my second pass through the Smokies. You really captured everything.

My parents went to that hotel for the first time in the 1970's, when it was a Sheraton hotel. I remember watching Halley's Comet from the rooftop there in either 1986 or 1987. What great memories! And how neat that it's still there :) Great review.
