Pros:Secluded getaway with good prices. Great looking lobby with nice indoor glass elevators.
Cons:OLD hotel that is in need of maintenance. Charge for low signal WIFI.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this hotel for the reasons above.

I booked a room which only ran me $52.00, which is a great price, but it came at a cost for me. Seems to be a pretty old hotel, but it had a nice lobby and classy indoor glass elevators. The room was a whole other story. The night of my arrival, the outside air temperature was in the low teens; My room felt just as cold. This is because the air conditioner was running full blast, and it could not be turned off because the knobs were broken. I called the hotel lobby to let them know and the woman said that she could move me to another room and would send someone up with the new room key, which was nice. I smelt something peculiar, and after hanging up the phone with her I found the source. Someone had thrown up all over the floor between the two beds! Whoever did it was having hard times because I also found another big pile near the bathroom floor! I cannot IMAGINE how room service can miss something like this! Security came up with another key and I asked for him to relay the message about the throw up. His response was “Well, it really is not my job to tell them that because I am the security person”. The guy was standing at the check in counter when I got there! Since speaking was too much trouble for him I called the front desk again, but they didn’t sound too concerned about it; the response was a bit snippy saying that the room would be closed for the time being. New room was only OK. The heater worked but could not keep up with the cold but it was good enough to sleep under the covers. I have traveled all over the country and have never run into anything like this. I mentioned the trouble to the clerk the next morning while checking out and guess what… no record of me having moved rooms which makes a tough argument for the customer. Never before have I had to ask any hotel for a refund, but if anything would do it, this would have. Since I booked it online through Expedia they said they could not give a refund, even for vomit in the room. They said that they would be happy to pick up the tab on breakfast, but as you can imagine, I was not in the mood… with what I found in the guest room I didn’t want to roll the dice on the cleanliness of their kitchen… I just wanted to be on my way. If I want something this disgusting again I will just book a spot on Fear Factor.

OTHER TIPS: Don’t book with your check card (even through Expedia) unless you want a ton of hassles! Use a credit card instead. Don’t bother with the wireless (you are actually charged for this service! $4/4hrs) because the signal is so weak you probably will not connected anyway. If you do get connected, it is SLLLOWWWW. Phone calls are expensive so use your cell phone! No refund or rebate for Expedia users, even with vomit in the room.
