I think they make a kid's boggle, so maybe you can start them off sooner than you thought!

I may purchase this in a few years when my kids are a little older and will be able to play. I have never played this, it sounds like fun!

That's very true... I didn't think of that. I bet when I go camping, the sound wouldn't go over too well with the campsite neighbors!

Seriously, the noisy shake is a problem when I visit my parents and my English-teacher Mom makes me stay up till 3 o'clock in the morning playing it with her.
We switched to an egg-timer, too, because of the sand-watching blues...
Excellent, nostalgia-inspiring review.

You can always check out a fun game called Wordox (an online game, sign up for free type thing)at:
http://www.flipside.com
Once there you can sign in with a username and password and get your account activated.
Then, you can go to
http://www.flipside.com/hoyle/wordox.asp
and enter any of the rooms. That is, IF you decide to sign up and play! Very fun 2-4 player game like Boggle, but more like scrabble in that you have to steal points from your opponents by making words.
Thought I'd share! And nice review!

I LOVE boggle- it is possibly my favorite game- or it's up there in the top three, anyhow!

I see myself buying a whole bunch of these games, as gifts and so on! I definitely need a Boggle game on hand considering how addicted I am!
