Pros: Inexpensive, looks nice, makes clean up easy
My oldest daughter turned four last week, and we had a small birthday party for her.
A couple of weeks before her party, we went to the party store to pick out a theme. She chose Rapunzel/Tangled for her theme, and we purchased invitations, plates, napkins, and a table cover.
The store did not have all of the party supplies that we needed, so we had to supplement with other Disney Princesses, but I am happy that we were able to get the basics in her first choice theme.
This tablecloth measures 54x102. The top of the tablecloth- the part that covers the table- is pink with flowers sprinkled about. The sides of the tablecloth have a background that is half pink and half blue. Rapunzel is featured prominently. She is wearing a purple dress, and her long hair is coiled at her feet. One arm is outstretched, and she is holding a paintbrush. The Tangled logo is also there, and so is the castle in the background. You can even see Pascal, Rapunzel's pet chameleon.
We had my daughter's party at the local Gymboree Play and Music Center. The hostess had placed four craft tables in a 2x2 pattern to make one large table. At first, I didn't think that the table cover was going to work, but it fit almost perfectly.
I think that the tablecloth is designed to have one Rapunzel hanging down at each place setting. The four tables pushed together were a little wider than a standard table, so the Rapunzels at each place setting were partially on the table, instead of hanging down.
I thought that this was a nice touch, and it was easy for the children to tell where they were supposed to fit. If you designate spots in this manner, then five children can sit on each side of the table.
Having a tablecloth at a child's birthday party is a smart move. First of all, children are messy. Children's party food, like ice cream and cake, are messy. Children spill things. Having a tablecloth protects your table. If you have a tablecloth, it also makes clean up much easier.
If you are having a themed party, having a tablecloth adds to the decor. Matching plates, napkins, and a tablecloth make everything look very nice and organized.
I would highly recommend the Tangled/Rapunzel tablecloth. I like that it is made out of plastic. If you happen to luck out, and the tablecloth is not grungy by the end of the party, the tablecloth can be saved. I remember growing up with paper tablecloths, and they were always ripped by the end of the party. Of course, the tablecloth was no more than $5, so it can also be thrown away at the end of the party!
If you are planning a Tangled/Rapunzel themed party, this tablecloth is a must! I purchased my tablecloth at iParty, but I think you would be able to find it at your local party supply store, or perhaps even WalMart.
