Pros:Lightweight, very fast set-up, safe, little maintenance, truly a great tool.
Cons:Purchase cost and operating costs, noise.
The Bottom Line: If you drive finish nails, buy this tool.
These types of fasteners are probably the biggest break-through since the invention of the cordless drill. The Paslode Angled Finish Nailer is simply a wonderful tool. Yes, it makes a bang when you shoot it, and yes my dog Cassie does not like that, but the tool has so much going for it I'm happy to deal with the bang and dog. I wear ear protection every time I use the "gun" but I also never use my chop saw without the use of same and frankly I find the chop saw noise far more irritating. (Cassie sleeps down the street or goes with the guys on hauling runs.)

This nailer will shoot 1 1/4" to 2 1/2" 16 gauge nails and although you cannot "bump" fire it, you can shoot nails very quickly, and mostly because of the way you can carefully place the nose of this gun almost anywhere and cut loose a nail, bump firing is of little concern. Plus, it would be extremely difficult to put a nail in your knee with this gun.
I've owned mine for several months now and at 6 to 7 bucks a pop for gas cartridges it does have some operational expense in addition to being an expensive tool to begin with. But, compared to the set up time and wait for your compressor to rev up, remember how heavy it is to carry up stairs, this gun is just so darn fast it is ready to go in really a matter of seconds.
If you slip the rechargeable battery out a bit to disconnect it when you suspect you won't need the gun for awhile, you'll find this simple technique seems to make the battery last a week or more.
As with all nailers you must be sure there are no long nails left in the feed when you want to shoot short ones, and you must occasionally clean this one too.
I guy a work with is just about to retire. He borrowed my gun. He bought one. "I just had to have it."
