Pros: My niece and nephew wore it out from so much use
Cons: After two years of use it gets pretty yucky
The Bottom Line: Babies seem to love this book and the toy that comes with it.

Anything my niece and nephew love is alright by me (in small doses, anyway). My niece absolutely adored this book for years. It physically survived almost long enough to outlast her interest in it.
My niece received this book when she was a baby and she loved it. She has always enjoyed being read to and she often chose this book for a bedtime or cuddle story. It could be a little annoying because, like most children, she loves repetition and made me read it over and over.
She also used it as a teething toy and it became pretty mangled. Actually it eventually became completely disgusting. She lost interest in it just in time because both the book and the bunny toy, which accompanies the book, were beyond my capacity to handle as an Auntie.
I bought this book for my nephew, who is now 2. He's had it since he was a few months old and it too has been a favorite. He still sometimes chooses it for reading, despite the fact that it is also pretty mangled now. I think he has been more gentle with it because I don't feel completely disgusted when he gives it to me to read.
I love this book because my niece and nephew got so much pleasure from it. I think it is a universal baby book.

About Me: A patient asked if I ever have problems.
"Do physicians ever get sick?" I replied.
