| ellis222's Full Review: Paul Mitchell the Conditioner |
I purchased Paul Mitchell The Conditioner from my local salon for $15.99 (for the large 16.9 fl. oz. bottle). I am forever on the search for a good leave-in conditioner. I hadnt used Paul Mitchell products for a while, but was always satisfied with them in the past, so I felt it was worth the hefty price.
***Packaging, Price, & Availability***
Paul Mitchell The Conditioner comes in several sizes up to the large 16.9 fl. oz. bottle. It comes in the standard white with black text bottles that the majority of Paul Mitchell products are packaged in. It is a soft plastic squeeze bottle with a screw on white cap. It is very easy to use. This product is available at your local salon or online at sites such as drugstore.com
***Overall Recommendation***
I did not have good results with this product. After my first use I actually considered that someone might have switched out the conditioner with toothpaste. It is a foul smelling (chemicals?), thick, aqua colored goo that you apply after washing and leave-in. I applied a small amount and it dried into a crusty looking mess. The spots that were not crunchy were frizzy. The next day my hair was dirty and oily looking.
***Directions***
After cleansing, gently towel-dry hair. Put a pearl-size amount to palms of hands (more for longer hair). Rub hands together briefly and apply evenly throughout the hair. Do Not Rinse. As with all cosmetics, avoid contact with eyes and keep out of reach of children.
***Ingredients***
Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Ceteth 2, Cetrimonium Bromide, Dimethicone Bisamino Hydroxypropyl Copolyol/White Ginger/Dimethicone Copolyol, Dimethicone Bisamino Hydroxypropyl Copolyol/Algae/Aloe Barbadensis/Chamomile/, Henna/Jojoba/Rosemary/Dimethicone Copolyol, Wheatgermamidopropyl Ethyldimonium Ethosulfate, Citric Acid, Fragrance, FD&C Blue # 1 Aluminum Lake (CI 42090), DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate
