I just love peanuts! Whether they're in a jar or a bar. Payday is one way to enjoy them....
The wrapper is mostly white with "Payday" written in bold letters of gold. One bar weighs 1.85 ounces.
Payday is made with a soft caramel center with salted peanuts on the outside; As if it were rolled in peanuts. Similar to the way pecan logs are made, which have a center with a divinity taste inside and much too sweet for me.
Payday brings back memories of my teenage years. I enjoyed my "Payday" with a small bottle of Coca-Cola. Back then I would stop by the little country store and buy a candy bar and Coke for about .30 cents...My! how the dollar has shrank.
Now days a good candy bar cost around a $1.00. At work, the snack machine carries them for .75 cents.
Every now and then I get the urge for a Payday, and I'll have it; Which leads me to a vigorous workout.
While eating the candy bar some of the peanuts would fall off; So I would hold my hand below the peeled back wrapper as I took a bite, to catch the fallen ones.
Payday bars are very tasty. As you bite through the crunchy nuts into the caramel center; The saltiness and sweetness together are very flavorful. The chewy texture makes it enjoyable and so good!
The bar is somewhat filling and satisfies my urge...
