Pearl Harbor the movie was a fairly good film. One of the few things that kept this movie alive, however, was the marvelous soundtrack that played throughout.
Brought directly from the film itself, the music from Pearl Harbor takes you on an emotional roller coaster - reliving every major event from the film. From the beginnings in Tennessee to the final attack on Pearl Harbor itself, this CD uses full symphonic force to take you on that ride of emotion. Each track has it's own persona that changes as the song progresses.
The key string of notes that Hans Zimmer created for this film are forever embedded in your mind once you have heard them. The melody repeats, in various forms, throughout each of the songs, tying together the entire selection. This tune is most prevalent in the 'Tennessee' selection (which is my favorite, by the way).
