Pros: small and easy to eat, seems to like it
Cons: crumbles VERY easily
The Bottom Line: Average, for the way that the pup loves the taste, but MOM doesn't like the crumbles of food.

I got a 7.9 ounce sample of this and decided to try it. The first thing I noticed was that the food was small and very easy for the puppy to eat. The second thing I noticed was the crumbs all over the place. The sample I tried was the Calcium Enriched, high Rice recipe, and according to the ingredients its first five ingredients are Rice, ground corn, chicken byproducts, corn glutten, and wheat.
This Pedigree mix has more vitamins and minerals than most cheaper brands and I noticed that the package said "27% protein", more than any other I saw on the shelves. It was developed for the first year of your dog's life.
My puppy really seemed to like it and it digested very well. I noticed that the amount of "waste" went down after eating this sample and the new bag of it I bought. More nutrients definitely means less waste.
