Pros: Other than pretty colors not many pros come to mind
Cons: Bulky, and because of flimsy construction, difficult to operate correctly
I've lost a LOT of weight lately, largely by eating
a LOT of salad. I don't have time, or patience, for
hand-drying salad ingredients. I also don't have
patience for flimsy salad spinners which for one
reason or another won't spin and/or dry salad.
This is of several I've bought that won't.
Its problem is flimsy construction. The lid will not
align with the bowl easily, and if it's not lined up
properly, it won't spin properly.
If you take the time to line everything up properly,
it will spin the salad and dry it nicely. However
I was so frustrated with mine that it ended up in the
trash, along with several others which couldn't
spin for one reason or another.
Why is it so hard to design a salad spinner that
My best advice is DON'T buy a salad spinner through
the mail. Go to a store and get actual hands-on
experience with it, to make sure it will function
properly and satisfy your needs. There are a lot
of spinners out there which are just plain junk, so
try it out before you buy!
