The one thing I had been wanting to get my hands on for these past few months was a nice, durable fish tank stand. I simply couldn't put up with the puny, hard-to-assemble, rusty fish tank stands that I mindlessly purchased years ago. I wanted to keep my fish family swimming happy!
So I stumbled across this Penn Plax fish tank stand, and although it was priced at $38, I had a feeling that it would do my indoor aquarium justice. It had already been assembled, so that most likely saved me a heck of a lot of time. It seemed like a reliable brand of fish tank stands, too. On its box were several 5 star ratings from people who knew all about the fishy stuff! I went with my instinct (along some persuasion from my nephew Harold) and purchased the fish tank stand. But boy was it a load to carry! I actually had to politely ask some nearby employees to assist me in moving it out to my truck.
Upon arriving at my home, I cautiously scooted the fish tank on one of my handy dandy skateboards up to my front door. The dimensions of the frame of the stand are approximately 19" x 32", so it was troublesome squeezing it in through the doorway. And again...this thing is a whopper! It may seem like a fish tank stand shouldn't be so heavy, but I guess that its heaviness plays a big role in keeping it sturdy and not shifting around like the several cheap fish tank stands out there.
From then on, it was a piece of cake. I moved a few things around the house to make room, inserted the glass tank, filled it up with water rocks, decorations, and of course the fish and...voila! My indoor aquarium was in a state of completion. I immediately checked to assure that the stand was sturdy enough, and what do ya know - it was! This fish tank stand is tee-totally worth the buy!
