Pros: Very durable, the usual features, convenient features allow you to adjust how automatic it is, CHEAP (for an SLR).
Cons: Nothing special about it really.

| steinfeld75's Full Review: Pentax ZX-M Body Only 35mm Film Camera |
If you are a beginner or intermediate photographer looking for a quality single lens reflex camera, but you don't want to spend too much, then THIS IS FOR YOU! This was exactly the position I was in about a year ago when I purchased my Pentax ZX-M. I still take care of it as if it were a $750 camera.
What makes this camera good for beginners and intermediate photographers (like me) is the fact that you can set the camera to automatic or partially automatic. Suppose you're shooting for epth of field. You can set the shutter speed on "automatic" so that you can choose any F-stop. If you're shooting for motion, you can do the opposite. This, to me, is a truly amazing feature.
The camera also includes the usual features like a timer, repeated shooting, and others. It doesn't have anything truly special. This is NOT a camera for experienced photographers. If you are one, you should go with something a little more advanced and you'll definitely end up spending more money. This camera is PERFECT for beginner and intermediate photographers as I have said earlier.
All in all, a good camera, with nothing special really. Great for the beginning and intermediate photographer, and great for students. The basic SLR.
