Pros: Extremely clean, great service, comfy bed, perfect!
Cons: price, but you have to expect it with that kind of package and room.
The Bottom Line: Even though we stayed here on our wedding night, it's mostly a business or family hotel. It's a generic room, but the package we got made it more romantic.

| pinkskittle's Full Review: Penticton Lakeside Rst And Conf Cnt |
why I stayed at the Penticton Lakeside.
My husband and I got married in Penticton and this was the best hotel in town, so we booked a room for the night.
This is just a review of the room we stayed in and the services we used. I would list all the other rooms, services, and packages, but that would take a long time.
first impressions.
We arrived at the hotel quite late, about 11pm, we went up to the front desk and they already knew who we were. Me wearing the wedding dress may have given it away! I don't really remember if we were offered any assistance with our bags, but we didn't have many bags anyway.
the room.
We requested the "Cuddles and Bubbles" package, which consisted of way more than we realized. We opened the door to our room and there was a basket with helium-inflated heart balloons strung from it. In the basket was champagne, glasses, hand-made truffles, hand-made soaps, and fruit. Everything was fabulous except for the champagne. It was pretty disgusting.
We got 2 free velour/terry robes with the room, which have been much to warm to wear until now (got them in May, now it's October). They are extremely cozy.
Another thing we got with the package was breakfast for 2 the next morning, which we would use in the restaurant or for room-service.
The package included a night in the jet-tub room which was came with:
balcony
a king size bed
two-person jetted tub
a sofa bed
a view of the lake
TV
Super Nintendo (outdated!!!)
telephone with data port
voice mail
national newspaper in the morning
Unfortunately we had to leave in the morning at 8 so we didn't have much time to enjoy the room.
One thing that I was quite impressed with was the cookies! On the desk were 2 tasty big cookies. Underneath them on the plate was a voucher for free milk! All we had to do was call room service and they'd bring us milk for our cookies. Why not! We called them up at 11:30pm and 10 minutes later, we had milk and cookies. Perfect bedtime snack.
We took a soak in the jet-tub, which was a little hard to figure out (there are caps all over the jets, so they blew off when we turned the jets on).
The lake view was amazing. The website offers a panoramic view from where our balcony was (and pictures). I encourage you check it out!

The TV was a little crappy, but we were far from interested in TV on our wedding night!
The room also came with all the usual amenities:
-soaps and shampoos
-coffee
-tea
-water bottles
I'm pretty sure we ended up taking most of that stuff with us :)
As for the cleanliness of the room, it was immaculate. Believe me, I checked (I'm a housekeeping manager at a 5-star hotel an hour away).
Right now it doesn't look like the hotel has the package we had anymore. It was pretty pricy, so that could be why. I think it was $300 US for the one night, but it was worth every penny.
Even though we stayed here on our wedding night, it's mostly a hotel for people on business or families on vacation. It's a generic hotel room, but the package we got made it more romantic.
