Pros: Great for your health and very refreshing
When I chose a peppermint tea it's usually a Celestial Teas brand. They have a lovely selection of teas, they are earth friendly and their flavors rarely disappoint. The packaging is pretty enough to use in gift baskets.
The Celestial Seasonings box shows candy canes in a basket filled with mint leaves and some birch trees off to the side. I buy their peppermint tea because I can include it in gift baskets I make, it's so pretty.
There are so many benefits from drinking tea. The natural components of tea leaves provide oral health if unsweetened. The antioxidants boost your circulatory system. Flavenoids in tea improve heart health by improving the inner lining of arteries and veins, thus helping the heart. Tea is aromatic thus soothing. The aroma helps relax you and gives a sense of well being. You can steep tea bags in a bath for this affect as well.
Drinking peppermint tea keeps your mood on an even high level if you drink it throughout the day. Black tea in particular provides a powerful class of antioxidants to combat free radicals. Peppermin ttea will treat indigestion, respiratory problems, headache, nausea, fever and stomach issues.
Varieties of tea are determined by how the leaf is grown or how it is processed after being harvested: sometimes the leaf is grown in the shade, sometimes the leaf is pan-roasted after being picked. Chamomile, peppermint and rosehips have long been well-known standard teas.
Peppermint Tea is extremely refreshing. It has a delightful minty, cool taste that is particularly good over ice. You can freeze mint leaves in ice cubes to add a lovely touch to the presentation. The aroma is refreshing as well, it's very aromatic, it's wonderful on a hot summer day.
A single tea bag will make the an 8 oz. size drink. You can microwave your tea, use Instant Hot or just boil some water. Pour it over the tea bags and allow to steep up to 4 minutes if you use true boiling hot water. Otherwise take four to six minutes to steep. Sometimes the bag will float to the top, just fish it out and use it in your compost heap if you keep one.
Storage:To keep your tea bags fresh fold your enclosed waxed pouch back up and then store in a cool dry place. This retails for about $3. After Christmas as Target you can get this at 90% off. This is a nice tea to add to a gift basket around Christmas because of the peppermint aspect. Add a red mug and some candy canes and you have a really nice gift.
Ingredients: All-natural herbs, and no artificial colorings, flavorings or preservatives.
Made from Peppermint grown in Oregon and Washington. It is the only ingredient in the Peppermint tea.
