Strawberry beer?

I have tried almost every Pete's beer that is brewed and I would have to say that this beer is the one that sticks with me the most. It is not everyday that you come across a beer that has a strawberry flavor?
Well, as mentioned in the title the predominant flavor in this beer is strawberry, but don't let that fool you. This beer contains the same after taste and body that we are all accustomed to and enjoy. The initial hint of strawberry occurs when you first crack it open and the sweet smell reaches your nose. Since smell is an intricate part of flavor this aroma is the main component of the strawberry flavor. After a few more sips, the strawberry taste gives way to the light hops flavor and then only complements the hops with a fruity after taste.
Having sampled many beers during college, I cannot say that this one ranks among the best purely because it is still a little foreign to me having a fruit flavor associated with beer. However, this is an excellent beer for someone who is just starting out and still has not become accustomed to the bitter taste in beer.
This beer is usually a seasonal beer and is easily purchased in your local liquor store. I would recommend this beer at a light sitting or during the summer when you are outside barbecuing and you want to have a sweet taste before you delve into your luscious meal.
