Pros: Great looking, heavyweight, pattern looks like it will stand up to regular washings.
Cons: Harder to find--replacements will be hard to find.
I was given a set of these as a gift. I loved them so much I redecorated my entire kitchen around them! These are one of two sets made to match the French Quarter set. Both are made of heavyweight glass and have a pattern of green, rose, and terra cotta.
This set of glasses came in a set of four. They are delicate yet heavyweight at the same time. By this I mean they aren't like most cheap glasses--thick and chunky. These are thick and refined. This set reminds me of a white wine glass. They balance beautifully in my hand and have a great weighted bottom so spills are a rare occurance.
We've only managed to break one so far but it fell from countertop height onto the wooden floor--a tough fall for any glass to survived.
They are dishwasher safe but I usually wash mine by hand because they are just a bit too tall (7-1/4")for the top rack of my dishwasher and the lower rack just doesn't have enough support for them. I'm confident that the pattern on the glass would hold up to the dishwashing--it's well done and looks beautiful.
This set included 4-18 ounce all purpose goblets. This is an older set that appears to be very limited and replaced by a newer style.
