I bought this product on a trip to Singapore because I was told electronic equipment was inexpensive there. When I returned home I found that it contained a European style AC adapter so I tried (emphasize tried) to contact Philips. The only phone number listed in the product literature connected me to an automated message with no opportunity to talk to a real person. I tried their web page and found the only person I could contact was the web master, clearly not the right person but at least a person. I sent 3 messages describing my situation and got 3 automated messages saying that someone would contact me. They didn't.

Since this time I have purchased a new TV and DVD player. Any guesses how much time I spent looking at Philips units? This is the poorest example of customer service I have ever seen and I have no plans to ever buy another Philips product.
