Pros: VCR works good.

Cons: Can't access the setup button most of the time.

You better plan to use only rewritable dvd in this, when you don't, you can not finalize your disc very often. The setup button will not work, which means when you record a dvd, and it is not finalized, you can only watch the dvd on that player. If you want to pay more for DVD-RW disc's then you will not have any problems. But if you plan to save a little and only use DVD-R, than plan only to use that player for playback. My whole plan was to record shows for my daughter to watch in her room, I did not want to pay extra for the high end dvd's, but looks like I will after all. I do regret buying this product.....
