Pros: The display is easy to see, and the unit is almost intuitive to use.
Cons: Customer Service sucks, impossible to program on your own.
The Bottom Line: Buy a competitors unit which provides on line/telephone support.

| ro1976's Full Review: Philips TSU6000 LCD Touchscreen Remote Control |
I own the Phillips TSU 6000 for 5 years. While being difficult to program, I became comfortable using it once set up by a professional home theater store. Whenever you buy a new piece of equipment, replace the tv, get a new DVD etc, you need to hire someone to modify the unit's program for you. Since technicians come and go, and stores lose their service franchises from time to time, re-programming the unit is a difficult task.
One evening, the two green lights on the docking station wouldn't stop blinking. The unit was very hot to the touch. I disconnected the battery, rebooting the unit and everything seemed fine. This happened 2 or 3 more times, until the unit got so hot, that it melted the plastic case, and I could smell plastic melting inside the unit. I called Phillips customer service about a potential fire hazard, and they told me to essentially fly a kite. I e-mailed corporate sales offices in Holland, but I received no reply other than an automated acknowledgement that the email was received. Having spoken to 3 or 4 more home theater stores to purchase a replacement, they all told me that Phillips Customer Service sucks, and steer away from their products.
