Philosophy's Curly Head has solved my daily battle with my frizzy hair. I have long hair, to the middle of my back, that's not straight or curly. It's wavy and frizzy and an utter disaster unless I flat iron it in the morning.
Packaging
The product comes in a frosted plastic bottle, weighing 2 ounces, with a screw off black lid. There is a light scent that I can't really describe, that definitely does not last on my hair. I hate getting a hair product with a strong scent, because it competes with my perfumes! Anyway, the bottle reads, "If you're born with curly hair, you want straight hair. If you're born with straight hair, you wnat curly hair. This product gives you the option." The ingredients are dimethicone and dimethiconol.
How to Use
I use this by putting a dime dized amount into my hands, rubbing them together, and applying to my damp hair with my fingers. I've tried using more, but you really don't need much to tame the frizzies. I've also tried it on dry hair, but it leaves my hair looking greasy. When used on damp hair, it won't leave a greasy film behind or even look like you've got product in your hair. After applying, I either let my hair air dry into nice waves, or I blowdry with a diffuser for more defined curls.
Results
I really do see results with Philosophy's Curly Head serum. A tiny bit will make my frizzy hair look smooth and sleek when ironed, or well-defined curls when dried with a diffuser. The bottle costs $11 for 2 ounces, but lasts a while. I've been using it for a month now, about 3-4 times a week (not necessary when I iron my hair, only if I blowdry or let it air dry), and the bottle is still about 3/4 full or more. Definitely worth the money. I purchased on www.philosophy.com but Nordstrom and Sephora both carry the line. I would definitely recommend this to anybody with frizzy and crazy hair, looking for a product to tame the wildness! This was $11 very well spent.
