Unconditional Love
A 16 oz bottle will run you about $22. I usually buy mine at places like Sephora, and you can always find them online. This product comes in a clear plastic squeeze bottle that is typical of Philosophy products, with a flip-top cap. This scent is also available in a perfume and a "firming body emulsion".
I wasn't sure what to expect from this product in terms of scent, since a lot of Philosophy products are named after foods, so it wasn't obvious what this scent would be. It is not too far from what I was guessing - sort of more of a perfume type scent without a really particular single scent. It has a sweet floral scent, and I guess I would say it has a touch of perhaps a berry smell.
This product is a light pearly avender color, and I like that the bottle is clear so that you can see how much remains. The cap flips up to reveal a hole for dispensing, which makes it non-messy, plus the cap is flat on the top, so you can sit the bottle upside down when you get towards the end (and get every last drop!).
The gel has a pretty average consistency, not too thick or thin, and lathers up nicely. It does have a nice rich perfume scent to it, and I wouldn't say it is overwhelming. The scent does last on my skin for a little while, but I still have to put my nose to my skin to smell it, and it definitely doesn't leave an overpowering scent behind.
I like the scent, but I wouldn't say it is amazing. To me it has a sort of generic perfume scent, and nothing that stands out for me. There are some fruity notes to it but nothing I can put my finger on. This is an enjoyable scent, just not "amazing" for me.
I would say this works about average for a body wash. I don't have time for baths (with a baby and a toddler), and I for some reason refuse to use this as a shampoo, so I use it only as a body wash. Since it lathers up so well on my skin, I imagine it makes for a nice bubble bath. It doesn't dry out my skin, and I wouldn't say it adds moisture either. I do like the feeling of it on my skin with the rich lather, which offers nice coverage and a luxurious showering experience.
I try to stick with natural products, so I am not a fan of the ingredients. I will say though, I don't expect products like these to have natural ingredients. For starters there is SLS (sodium laureth sulfate), and a bunch of other chemicals including fragrances and dyes. I didn't have any skin irritation, but I have never had adverse reactions to body products.
